Wind Data Logger Calibrated Anemometer Kit, Mobile & Crawler Cranes in Wind Farm Services, Battery Powered

I have worked with the folks at WindCrane for the past several years.
While in the role of North American Crane Manager for GE Vernova, I ran a pilot program evaluating the performance, user-friendliness, and price point for several cloud-based crane anemometer systems. The results of this test were clear, WindCrane led in all categories and was selected as the winner. With this, all crane vendors providing wind turbine major component exchange services for GE Vernova are required to use the WindCrane anemometer system and provide access rights to GEV. This cloud-based system is a “gamechanger” as it now provides the leadership team with an easily accessible remote sight picture (map) regarding the location of 20-40 cranes and their current wind speeds… very critical to crane production operations.
In addition to WindCrane’s product performance, I would be remis, if I didn’t identify the WindCrane Team’s exceptional customer service and keen attention to “the voice of the customer”. One clear example… after we launched and fielded the anemometer system, I asked them to enhance their product by integrating a wind vane into their system to provide wind angle relative to the crane boom. They attentively listened, understood the value to the customer, performed the research/development, and deployed a new system that incorporates not only wind speed, but now wind angle to the boom… this is a MAJOR “gamechanger” as it opens up new possibilities for crane operations (if you know, you know).
Another WindCrane system enhancement (requested from the customer) is the integration of an inclinometer on the boom tip. With this, we can now see the relevance of the reported wind speed as we can now see remotely if the crane boom is on the ground or raised into the lift position (as reported by the boom lift angle).
Collectively, these enhancements demonstrate WindCrane’s ability to deliver a highly effective, continuously evolving remote monitoring solution that directly supports safer and more efficient crane operations.

The kit and your service and back-up has been brilliant. The parts, cabling and connectors etc. have been through some tough conditions with assembly by our climbing riggers who are not technical specialists when it comes to this kind of kit. Temperatures from -30 C to +40C were experienced on site and everything went well with no problems. When we needed help on setting up we had immediate support.

We are using Windcrane Max unit with a solar battery charger for our wind turbines at a height approx. 135 m. We need to be able to monitor wind speed and direction on the site.
