At a glance
When Windcrane is online, your favourite cranes appear as colour-coded cards. Each card shows the crane name, wind speed and direction, boom angle and temperature.
See the latest status of every favourite crane without opening each crane individually.
Card colours show whether conditions are safe, at warning level, at danger level, winded off or disconnected.
Tap any card to view its live measurements, graphs, forecast, activity and location.
Live data
Tap a crane card to open live data. Tap a sensor to open its graph; wind direction and wind speed share a combined view.
Open the crane you want to inspect.
Review wind, direction, angle, activity, temperature and device readings.
Explore Wind and Angle, Speed and Direction, or Wind and Activity.
Tap the star to add or remove the crane from Favourites.
Review the previous and next 24 hours of wind information.
Start and stop events appear when a compatible activity sensor is installed and configured.
Tap Set winded off; tap again to put the crane back in service.
Continue scrolling to review current status and device location.

Recorded and predicted wind
This view compares recent measurements with the next 48 hours of forecast data.
Tap Forecast height to select the most representative level.
Tap Terrain roughness to reflect the crane's surroundings.
Tap the information icon for an explanation of Adaptive Forecast.
Use the checkbox below the graph to show or hide the hindcast gust line.
Use the checkbox below the graph to show or hide the forecast average line.
Press and hold the graph to inspect a value at a specific time.
Tap −24H to move back through recorded readings.
Tap +24H to move forward through the forecast.
Tap the information icon. The hourly list shows direction, speed and weather at a glance.
Evidence and planning
From Favourites or Cranes, tap a crane card to open its detail screen. Scroll down, tap Reports, then choose the report you need.
Find Reports: Open a crane and scroll to Reports. Choose a report: Select the report that matches the task. Review or export: Check the information, refine the period if needed and create the PDF.
The Daily Report summarises one day of scheduled operation, recorded wind and the evidence available for that period.
Open Daily Report. Review the overview, inspect wind and activity, then find usable operating windows. Use Edit to change the date, scheduled hours and thresholds.
Tap the yellow PDF button to generate and open the report summary sheet. The preview contains the executive summary and detailed evidence pages.
Tap Done to return, or use the share icon to save or send the report.
Refine the Daily Report, then expand the 10-minute evidence table when detailed readings are required. Set the report period, read the 10-minute evidence and tap Preview PDF when ready.
The Weekly Report gives a seven-day operational view. Check the week, expand a day to see its hourly evidence and environmental readings, then prepare the PDF.
Hourly evidence remains grouped under its day. The PDF contains the weekly executive summary and hourly measurement record.
The 7 Day Forecast Report combines the selected forecast settings with gust, average wind and the available operating window. Review the overview and compare gust and average wind.
Open a forecast day to move from the weekly outlook to an hour-by-hour view of weather, gust, average wind and direction.
The Daily Evidence Report compares measured crane evidence with an independent hindcast and summarises other available operating conditions.
Set the evidence period, compare the evidence and check other operational conditions. If the hindcast is not close, adjust height or roughness in Report Settings.
Your fleet
The Cranes area lists every crane available to you, including cranes outside your Favourites. Search directly or filter by customer group.
Use the search field to find a crane by name.
Narrow the list by customer group.
Tap the crane to view live readings, graphs and reports.
Location view
Use the map to locate cranes geographically, filter the view and open crane information.
Tap a wind-status marker to select a crane.
Tap the summary card to open the full crane details.
The target icon shows all cranes. Marker colours show wind status.
Operational events
Activity shows active and recent crane events. Use the filters to review activity by crane or status.
Filter the activity list to one crane when investigating an event.
Review events created when a crane is winded off or returned to service.
Review compatible sensor events. Green events start or return; red events stop.
Account and support
Settings lets each user choose their preferred app language, manage notifications and crane-list visibility, enable experimental features and access support.
Tap Change language, then choose your preferred language in iPhone Settings under Apps → WINDCRANE → Language. This multilingual option lets each user run the app in the language that suits them.
Control notifications, choose whether disconnected or disabled devices appear in the crane list and enable experimental features when available.

Quick access
Add the Windcrane widget to your iPhone Home Screen for a quick view of favourite crane status without opening the app.
Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
Tap Edit, then tap Add Widget.
Search for Windcrane and select it.
Select the widget size, then tap Add Widget.
Move the widget into place and tap Done.
