1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard

1. Go to http://ft.windcrane.com
2. Enter username (case and space sensitive)
3. Enter password (case and space sensitive)
4. Click “Login”

2. Add WINDCRANE device

If you do not see your Windcrane device on your dashboard add it:

1. Click the “hamburger” menu at the top-left of the page.
2. Click “Add device” on the menu.
3. Enter the device’s IMEI (serial) number found on the Windcrane unit or Site/Device name.
4. Click “Search crane” to see the device details.
5. Select the device from the displayed list.
6. Click “Add crane(s)” to add the selected device.

If you are unable to add a device contact Windcrane for access.

3. Fleet Dashboard Home Page

When Windcrane is online you will see a coloured block on your dashboard, representing the wind speed:

• Green = Safe (below set threshold)
• Amber = Warning (above amber set threshold)
• Red = Danger (above red set threshold)

4. Select a type of Wind Report:

1. Click the 3-dot menu on the left side of the device tile, a menu will pop up:
Select from the following report types: 
2. Daily Report
3. Weekly Report
4. Windcrane Forecast
5. Weather Downtime Report

5. Daily Wind Report

Historic 10-minute interval maximum and average gust values for a day.

1. Use the calendar button to select a day
2. Select the working hours range that you would like to see on the chart and table
3. Change unit of measurement
4. Hover mouse over the chart to see the value at the cursor position
5. Click the arrow icon to download a PDF that you can print or email
6. Change Amber, and Red thresholds
7. Check the following metrics:

• Max Gust
• Time of Gust

6. Historic Weekly Report:  Evidence for weather claims

Historical hourly max gust values and statistics for each day.

1. Use the calendar button to select the start date and end date
2. Click the label to expand the menu
3. Select the working hours range that you would like to see on the chart and table
4. Change unit of measurement
5. Show Available Hourly Windows
6. Change Amber, and Red thresholds
7. Click the arrow icon to download a PDF that you can print or email
8. Click the Sensors that you would like to see
9. Hover mouse over the chart to see the value at the cursor position
10. Check the following metrics: 

• Max Gust
• Time of Gust
• Red Hours
• Amber Hours
• Available Hours

7. Forecast Report: Week ahead planning

Week ahead wind prediction for the device's location, based on global weather data. It adjusts wind speed for crane or structure heights using the EN 13000 method.

1. Adjust forecast height
2. Adjust terrain roughness
3. Change unit of measurement
4. Hover mouse over the chart to see the value at the cursor position
5. Change Amber, and Red thresholds
6. Click the arrow icon to download a PDF that you can print or email
7. Check the following metrics: 

• Max Gust
• Time of Gust
• Red Hours
• Amber Hours
• Available Hours
• Temperature
• Rain
• Weather

8. Weather Downtime Report

Weather Downtime Report to help teams understand how wind, temperature, and weather impacts operational delays.

1. Use the calendar button to select a day
2. Select the working hours range
3. Change unit of measurement
4. Change Amber, and Red thresholds
5. Hover mouse over the chart to see the value at the cursor position
6. Adjust forecast height
7. Adjust terrain roughness
8. Click the arrow icon to download a PDF that you can print or email

You will see the following on the report:

• Maximum wind speed chart for the past 24 hours
• Windcrane temperature chart (if the port is enabled)
• Summary ribbon of the selected day, showing wind speed, temperature, and rainfall
• Historic forecast table, including hourly wind speed and wind direction

9. Details - Overview of device last 48 hours

1. Click the 3-dot menu on the left side of the device tile, a menu will pop up:
2. Click “Details”
3. View Summary Details
4. Select from the menu tabs to display corresponding graph
5. Hover mouse over the chart to see the value at the cursor position
6. View Site Forecast
7. Copy the shareable link of the page, can be sent to user without an account
8. Click “Back” on the upper-left of the page to return to the device list, or the “hamburger” menu, and select “Home”

10. Speedometer

The Speedometer has either a 10-minute refresh rate, or if you have an IR data service, it will refresh every 3 seconds (the speedometer turns blue on 3-second refresh rate).

1. Click the 3-dot menu on the left side of the device tile, a menu will pop up:
2. Click “Speedometer”

 

You can view:

3. Live wind speed from your device
4. True North wind direction for accurate orientation
5. Last 5 hours of historic data, including wind speed and direction
6. Next 23 hours of forecast data, aligned to True North

 

If your device has a boom angle set, the Speedometer Page will also show:

7. Wind rose
8. Live wind direction relative to the crane boom
9. Boom angle (inclinometer angle) indicator displayed next to the speed
10. Historic 5h data with wind direction to the crane boom
11. Next 23 hours of forecast data, aligned to True North

11. Global Map

The Map is a useful tool to know where your crane/ device is located in order to plan logistics for next projects.

1. Click the 3-dot menu on the left side of the device tile, a menu will pop up:
2. Click “Find on Map

To view the Map with all the cranes:

3. Click the “hamburger” menu at the top-left of the page.
4. Click “Map”

 

You can do the following actions on the Map page:

1. Filter by Wind Speed Status (Green = Safe, Amber = Warning, Red = Danger)
2. Filter by Group
3. Use the Search box to find a crane
4. Tick “Details” box to show the cranes’ information
5. Toggle Satellite view
6. Toggle Cluster/Exploded view
7. Zoom in/out the map
8. Click the “hamburger” menu, and select “Home” to return to the device list

• View current crane and project locations for full visibility of jobs and wind status
• Use location and operational data to improve logistics, scheduling, and fleet utilisation
• Quickly see which crane is easiest to allocate for new quotes and upcoming work
• Allocate the nearest crane and plan movements efficiently to reduce travel time and costs

12. Projects

To display the list of Projects:

    1. Click the “hamburger” menu at the top-left of the page
    2. Click “Projects”

“Administrator” accounts can change the thresholds of the projects:

    3. Click on the left side of the desired project tile to pop up the menu
    4. Select the desired threshold

To show the devices under a specific project:

    5. Click a project tile

To add the device to Home (if a device is deleted from Homepage, it goes into project sites)

    6. Click on the left side of the desired device tile to pop up the menu
    7. Select “Add to Favorites”

13. Push notifications to Desktop  browser and Mobile phone

Stay informed about wind alerts — get a push notification sent to your Desktop/Mobile browser when the wind speed goes over your thresholds

Mobile Phone:

1. Go to https://ft.windcrane.com/ using your mobile phone’s browser
2. Open the browser's menu
3. Select "Add to Home Screen", and confirm

Subscribe to Push Notifications on Desktop/Mobile Browser

1. Log in to https://ft.windcrane.com/ using your browser
2. A notification will appear, then Press “Subscribe”
3. When asked for Notifications permission, choose “Allow”
